Awards and Acknowledgments
Each award acknowledges the vast numbers of Tangaroa Blue Foundation volunteers and Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) partners who assist in removing tonnes of marine debris from our environment every year, documenting the hundreds of thousands of items removed for the AMDI Database, and work tirelessly in their communities to prevent marine debris and litter by stopping it at the source.
TANGAROA BLUE FOUNDATION A 2018 BANKSIA FINALIST!
The Banksia Foundation works to bring the current sustainability issues into the spotlight and recognise the organisations working towards solutions through the annual Banksia Awards.
This year, the Foundation has aligned the awards with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of which Tangaroa Blue Foundation contributes to goals 6, 12-15 and 17.
Tangaroa Blue Foundation is proud to announce that we have been listed as a finalist in the Not for Profit/NGO category!
We are stoked to have made it this far in the process and hope to hear good news when the award winners are announced on November 29th.
