WHY JOIN A CLEAN-UP?

Removing rubbish from the environment not only visually restores the natural state but also mitigates the toxic effects of plastic degrading in the environment and the risk of harm to humans and animals who make contact with the debris.

Tangaroa Blue Foundation’s volunteers and Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) partners have cleaned beaches and waterways at over 4,800 sites around Australia and removed over 1,900 tonnes of rubbish.

Our events range from sites cleaned up every month since 2004 to massive multi-day adventures in some of Australia’s most remote and polluted areas.

Other Ways to Get Involved

School

We can provide schools with clean-up materials and visit your school for presentations, workshops and to help with beach clean-up events.

Community

Tangaroa Blue Foundation supports community groups and schools to improve their local communities through local clean-ups.
 

Corporate

We work with Corporate organisations to clean-up their local areas and provide data through the AMDI to support their interventions.
