As a member of our Blue Guardian program, your monthly donations will directly fund:
- Removal of tonnes of marine debris from the Australian coastline
- Collection of vital data for the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database
- Evidence-backed initiatives to stop waste at its source
- Prevention of microplastic leakage from industry polluters
- Tracking, removal and recycling of dangerous ghost nets

2000 tonnes and counting...
Through the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database we’ve now removed and recorded more than 2000 tonnes of marine debris – that’s equivalent to 67 humpback whales!
We work with communities to remove marine debris, increase local knowledge on where it comes from, and help to create plans to reduce marine debris at its source.
In 2024, we removed 2.2 million marine debris items from the coastline.
- 90,000 KGs marine debris collected
- 18,000 event volunteers
- 3,399 clean-up events run

Yes, once you make a donation to Tangaroa Blue Foundation we will provide you with a tax-deductible receipt for your tax records.
You can pause or stop your monthly donations and leave the Blue Guardians at any time, just contact comms@tangaroablue.org for support.
