Success at the CCWA Community Conservation Awards

The dedication and hard work of Tangaroa Blue Foundation’s Western Australia team were proudly showcased at the Conservation Council of WA’s annual Community Conservation Awards ceremony, held at the Kidogo Arthouse in Fremantle, as they took home three awards from the evening.

Tangaroa Blue a 2018 Banksia Finalist!

The Banksia Foundation works to bring the current sustainability issues into the spotlight and recognise the organisations working towards solutions through the annual Banksia Awards. This year, the Foundation has aligned the awards with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of which Tangaroa Blue contributes to goals 6, 12-15 and 17. Tangaroa Blue is proud to announce that we have been listed as a finalist in the Not for Profit/NGO category! We are stoked to have made it this far

Banksia Sustainability Award Finalist!

Tangaroa Blue Foundation is proud to announce that we have been chosen as a finalist in the 2017 Banksia Sustainability Awards under the Sustainable & Resilient Communities category! The Banksia Sustainability Awards, are regarded as the most prestigious and longest running sustainability awards in Australia and the winnters will be announced on November 1st in Sydney. Congratulations to all the finalists! We look forward to meeting everyone at the award ceremony!

Tangaroa Blue National Landcare Winner!

Eleven outstanding winners were announced in the 2014 National Landcare Awards in Melbourne on September 18th, and Tangaroa Blue Foundation was honoured by winning the Coastcare Category for the Australian Marine Debris Initiative!   The Awards ceremony took place during a gala dinner and also featured the presentation of the prestigious National Landcare People’s Choice Award – voted for by the public from amongst the impressive 69 finalists in the National Landcare Awards, and the Bob Hawke Landcare Award.

Tangaroa Blue Takes Home WA Landcare Award!

Over 70 people attended a ceremony at Government House on Wednesday, October 16th, which saw eight winners chosen to represent Western Australia at the 2014 National Landcare Awards.   Hosted by His Excellency Mr Malcolm McCusker, AC CVO QC, Governor of Western Australia and Patron of Landcare Western Australia, the biennial event celebrated the achievements of Landcare by honouring groups and individuals from across the state.   Tangaroa Blue Foundation took out the Coastcare Award for its work on removing

Tangaroa Blue 2013 WA Coastal Award Winner!

The 2013 WA State Coastal Conference was an informative and motivational event. Did you know that in Albany there are rock formations that fit to within 1mm of those in the Antarctic; demonstrating that we were connected many years ago?   The coastal conference was spread over two days in Esperance with the WA Coastal Awards of Excellence ceremony held one evening. Tangaroa Blue awarded recognition by NAQS

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) recently presented a Regional Biosecurity Commendation award to Tangaroa Blue for their cooperation and contribution in maintaining Australia’s biosecurity status in northern Australia.   Tangaroa Blue is a not-for-profit environmental charity that has a large network of volunteers and conducts beach monitoring/clean-up and logs data on marine debris collected.   DAFF’s Northern Australia Quarantine Strategy (NAQS) program director Murray Korff presented Heidi Taylor of Tangaroa Blue with a Regional Biosecurity Commendation award
