We’re Hiring on the Cocos Keeling Islands – On-island Coordinators

We're hiring casual Project Coordinators on the Cocos Keeling Islands

Role Title: Project Officer – Indian Ocean Territories
Employment Status: Casual positions with regular flexible hours
Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Cocos Keeling Islands (working from home, regular fieldwork) *Candidates must already reside on the Cocos Keeling Islands.

Applications close: We are actively reviewing applications and scheduling interviews on a rolling basis.

About the Role

We’re looking for casual project coordinators who can help Tangaroa Blue continue to deliver some of the key elements of our work on the islands. Candidates must already be current members of the Cocos Keeling Islands community who would be keen to work alongside Tangaroa Blue Foundation to keep the community engaged with the marine debris issue and conduct quarterly monitoring.

  • Leading community beach clean-ups
  • Conducting quarterly analysis of marine debris across various beaches on the Cocos Keeling Islands
  • Helping to run source reduction initiatives like the IOT Esky Library
