The annual Western Australia Beach Clean-up is the state’s largest community-driven marine debris initiative, bringing people together to clean our coastline and collect valuable data to improve systems, processes and behaviours.

What is the WA Beach Clean-up?

Since 2004, thousands of Western Australians have come together each year to protect our coastline.

Volunteers remove marine debris while collecting valuable data through the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI). That data doesn’t just tell us what’s on our coastline – it helps identify where it comes from so we can work towards preventing it in the first place.
