The Peninsula’s Last Straw Workshop – Mornington – VIC

We are excited to invite you to take part in the Peninsula’s Last Straw program.
Millions of straws enter our oceans every day. 10 million plastic straws are used every day in Australia (enough straws to circle around the earth 2.5 times)! These are the 12th most common item collected in clean-up events, representing ~ 75% of all the reported plastics.Hundreds of species are being affected by these items.
We have the ultimate goal of making Mornington Peninsula Plastic Free and to promote engagement from others, such as small business, we will provide our guests with an alternative to plastic straws that are 100% biodegradable and cost-effective.
We hope you can join us at this workshop to be held on Tuesday, 3 September 2019, 10:00 am – 11:30 am AEST at the Mount Martha Life Saving Club.
This project is supported by The Peninsula’s Last Straw, Tangaroa Blue Foundation, and in part by a grant from the National Geographic Society.
