ReefClean – Orpheus Island
Due to overwhelming response, this event and waiting list is now full. Direct communication will be made to those attending and those who have been wait-listed. Thank you for your understanding – we are amazed by the amount of interest we’ve had in this event and hope to see you on the beach soon.
The ReefClean team from Tangaroa Blue will once again be heading to Orpheus Island for our twice-yearly clean-up.
We will rehabilitate several beaches over four days by removing, sorting and recording rubbish items from this island and entering it into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database.
Join our team of volunteers who will be working with Orpheus Island Research Station, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Absolute North Charters for a multi-site clean-up, with funding support from the Morris Foundation.
We will meet in Lucinda in the morning on Sunday the 20th of September for transfer to the island and return on Thursday the 23rd.
Spaces are limited so please contact johanna@tangaroablue.org to:
1. Express an interest in this event
2. Find out more information, including transfer (departure/return) times, what you will need to bring etc
