AMDI Data Drive at the 2025 4WD QLD K’gari Clean-Up

Join us from May 23rd-26th for the AMDI Data Drive at the 2025 4WD QLD K’gari Clean-Up, hosted by Four Wheel Drive Queensland! We’ll be working to sort and record marine debris collected during this massive clean-up, contributing valuable data to the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database.

Last year, 4WD QLD volunteers removed over 6,500kg of debris! To turn their efforts into meaningful change, we need to document what’s being collected—providing crucial evidence to help stop litter at its source.

We need volunteers to:
✅ Sort debris at the Tangaroa Blue Foundation sorting & data station
✅ Enter data into the AMDI Database
✅ Complete half-day shifts on both Saturday & Sunday

Event Details
Clean-up days: Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th May
Arrival & departure: Arrive on Friday 23rd, depart Monday 26th
Accommodation: Shared accommodation covered by Tangaroa Blue Foundation
Costs: Volunteers cover barge tickets (discounted rate) & any additional expenses
