Cape York – Captain Billy Landing Clean-up 2025
Captain Billy Landing Clean-up Adventure
16–22 August 2025 | Departing Cairns
Join us for an unforgettable clean-up on Wuthathi Country at Captain Billy Landing — one of Cape York Peninsula’s most remote and beautiful beaches. Over three days, we’ll remove marine debris from this exposed coastline and record it in the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database, helping to protect sea country and wildlife.
We’ll travel as a group from Cairns, camping along the way and setting up base with the Wuthathi Rangers. All meals and clean-up equipment are provided — you just need to bring your own camping gear and a sense of adventure.
This trip is for fit, self-sufficient volunteers who are comfortable camping in remote areas with basic facilities. Volunteers with their own 4WDs are welcome to join the convoy or meet us on site — just get in touch.
Places are limited — register early to secure your spot.
A short pre-registration interview will ensure the trip is the right fit for you.

On this trip we will be working on the land and sea country of the Wuthathi people, and we pay our respects to the Elders past and present.
