New volunteers welcome!
Trip Overview
Get ready for an unforgettable journey to Five Beaches Loop, located at the very tip of Cape York Peninsula — one of the most remote and beautiful places in Australia.
We’ll kick off our adventure with an early morning departure from Cairns, heading north to Archer River for our first overnight stop. After two days of travel and a few scenic stops, we’ll arrive at our beachside base camp — home for the next five amazing days.
What’s Involved
This trip is perfect for volunteers who are fit, adventurous, and comfortable camping in remote locations with limited facilities.
It’s a rewarding experience, but also physically challenging — expect rough roads, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of laughs around the campfire.
Seats are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.
Why This Trip Matters
You’ll be making a real difference. Every piece of marine debris we remove helps protect wildlife and restore these beautiful beaches.
Your efforts will directly support the health of fragile ecosystems at one of the northernmost points of Australia.
Driving Options
- Got your own 4WD? You’re welcome to join our convoy from Cairns or meet us directly on-site.
- Don’t have a 4WD? No problem — you can ride along with our team.
Please let us know your preference when you register.
Accommodation and Facilities
- Our campsite has toilets and showers available.
- A shared kitchen will be set up where we’ll prepare meals together — all food and kitchen equipment will be provided.
- Volunteers must bring their own sleeping gear: tent, mattress, pillow, and blanket.
Pre-Registration Interview
To ensure everyone is well-prepared, a short pre-registration interview will be conducted.
We will answer any questions you have and confirm that this adventure is the right fit for you.
Join us to experience a spectacular part of Australia while making a real impact for our oceans and wildlife.
On this trip we will be travelling through, and working on the land and sea country of the Anggamuthi, Atambaya, Wuthathi, Yadhaykenu and Gudang peoples, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
