We’re looking for a creative and driven individual to lead our communications efforts, manage our social media, and support our CEO with strategic promotion, marketing, and media relations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage social media presence, through multiple accounts across different social platforms, including content creation (tiles, stories, reels, articles), scheduling, copywriting, community management, and social media analytics.
- Align all communications planning with the organisational strategy.
- Manage the TBF website, ensuring it is kept up-to-date and secure. You will be responsible for posting regular website articles and content updates.
- Design reports, presentations, fact sheets, flyers and other graphics using design software including Canva.
- Grow social media and traditional media reach, as per organisational strategic goals.
- Support TBF staff in the promotion of TBF and AMDI events and activities.
- Ensure the website and Facebook calendars are kept up to date.
- Help to upskill TBF staff in content creation (photography, video and captions) and provide briefs for staff when needed.
- Maintain relationships with partner organisations in relation to social media content.
- Prepare the annual report and quarterly TBF Newsletter.
- Maintain Mailchimp contact lists and improve segmentation options.
- Assist in the implementation of new CRM.
- Keep a record of traditional media coverage mentioning TBF and TBF projects through platforms including Meltwater.
- Actively contribute to generating revenue for the organisation by achieving income targets associated with communication-related objectives.
- Develop communication plans for specific projects and campaigns aligned with strategic goals.
- Assist the CEO to develop and distribute media releases and grow media contact lists.
- Assist the CEO in developing and implementing public fundraising and donor retention communications.
- Assist the CEO with related communications administrative tasks as required.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant experience in social media, communications and media, including content creation.
- Experience in the creation of image media, communications plans, media releases and articles.
- Computer literacy in Google Suite, WordPress, Canva, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube), Meltwater, Mailchimp.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Highly organised with demonstrated attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in conservation or for a non-for-profit organisation
- Experience managing a WordPress website.
- Experience leading the implementation of a CRM or experience using Hubspot.
- Public fundraising marketing experience
