UPDATE: this event has been changed from the 12th to the 13th - sorry for any inconvenience!!

Every month the team from Conservation Volunteers Australia heads up to 4 Mile Beach in Port Douglas for our monthly monitoring clean-up. This is our longest dataset for QLD which is vital in monitoring things like the upcoming plastic bag ban and container refund scheme!

If you're free on December 13th, come along and give us a hand, all equipment and training will be provided.

You can either carpool from Cairns - meeting at 38 Hayward St, Mooroobool at 8am, or meet the team at Bruno Reidwig Park at the end of Solander Blvd, Port Douglas at 9.30am.

Volunteers are asked to wear enclosed shoes and sun-smart clothing, and bring a reuseable water bottle, snacks and lots of energy.
