ReefClean: Bustard Bay Clean-Up

What: ReefClean Bustard Bay

When: Friday 11th October, 2024

Where: LARC Tours, 1770 Marina, 535 Captain Cook Drive, Town of 1770. We will meet here at 8am and return at 12:30pm to sort the debrisTo register: email ian@tangaroablue.org

We will travel across Eurimbula Creek to Bustard Bay Beach where we will proceed to collect marine debris which will then be sorted, counted and entered into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database.

The clean-up data you collect will help us track litter to its source and prevent it from entering the waste stream and harming our Great Barrier Reef.
Volunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.

A huge thank you tot 1770 LARC Tours for their continued support of this event.
We could like to acknowledge the Port Curtis Coral Coast people, the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Tarabilang Bunda as Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet and would also like to pay our respects to the elders past and present.——————————————–ReefClean is funded by the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and delivered by Tangaroa Blue Foundation.
