DESCRIPTION:What: Marine Debris Monitoring Clean-up and Training Session\nWhen: Tuesday 13th October 2026 | 10:00am – 12:00pm\nWhere: Conference room, Beachfront Bicheno Hotel (232 Tasman Highway, Bicheno)\nTo Register: Please email jennifer@tangaroablue.org\n \n \nLooking for a way to be part of practical solutions for our environment?\n \nJoin us for an engaging marine debris workshop focused on marine conservation, hosted by Tangaroa Blue Foundation and the Callum and Jake Robinson Foundation.\nThe workshop will kick off with approximately one hour dedicated to a meet-and-greet and a presentation that highlights the mission and projects of both foundations. Following the presentations, attendees will participate in a hands-on demonstration lasting about 45 minutes, where we’ll work together on transect layout design, debris collection, and sorting materials into categories right at beautiful Waubs Beach.\n \nWhat shall I bring?\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all Tangaroa Blue events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.\n—\nA huge thank you to Beachfront Bicheno Hotel for their generous support of this event.\n
