SUMMARY:ReefClean: Bustard Bay Monitoring Beach Clean-up
DESCRIPTION:What: ReefClean Bustard Bay Monitoring Clean-up\nWhen: Friday 24th April | 7:30 am – 4:00 pm\nWhere: LARC Tours, 1770 Marina \nRegister: Please email monique@tangaroablue.org\n\nBe part of the Bustard Bay Clean-up, with transport provided aboard the iconic 1770 LARC Tours. Volunteers will spend the day removing debris along the stunning Bustard Bay coastline, working in teams to cover large sections of beach before regrouping for debris collection and refreshments.\nThis is a rare chance to experience this beautiful location while making a lasting impact on our marine environment. The clean-up data you collect will help us track litter to its source and prevent it from entering Reef catchment waterways – harming the Great Barrier Reef.\n\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.\n\nA huge thank you to 1770 LARC Tours for their continued support of this event.\n \n\n\nWe would like to acknowledge the Port Curtis Coral Coast people, the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng, and Tarabilang Bunda as Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet, and would also like to pay our respects to the elders past, present, and emerging.\nReefClean is funded by the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and delivered by Tangaroa Blue Foundation.\n
