(SLCMA) and the ReefClean program are thrilled to invite you to an exciting community beach clean-up at Cape Palmerston National Park on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th August 2025.\nWhen: Friday 15th, Saturday 16th August 2025\nWhere: Cape Palmerston National Park\nHow to register: Contact admin@sarinalandcare.org.au ( mailto:admin@sarinalandcare.org.au )\nThis is more than just a clean-up – it’s a chance to make real impact, connect with likeminded people, and help protect one of our region’s most stunning natural areas. Let’s work together to keep our beaches beautiful and our marine life safe. With the incredible support of Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service and the Yuwi Rangers, we’re taking on some of the most impacted marine debris hotspots in the park — but we can’t do it alone.\nFurther info\nAre you keen to get involved? If you have your own 4WD vehicle (with recovery gear) for beach driving, join us at hotspots in Cape Palmerston National Park.\nIf you do not have a 4WD vehicle, you can still help clean up the front beach (parking available with 2WD vehicles).\nDaily plan:\n• Meet at the beach access point (end of Cape Palmerston Road)\n• Arrive 8:30-8.45am for a 9am start | Wrap up by 1:30–2:00pm\n• Tides will guide our access – we’ve got it covered!\nWhat to bring: Sun smart clothing, hat, closed in shoes, water bottle What we provide: Gloves, bags, PPE, drinking water, snacks and lunch\nWhat you need to know:\n• Limited phone reception (UHF radio welcome)\n• No amenities: shovel, toilet paper and hand sanitiser provided.\n• Registration is essential – contact us on 4956 1388 or admin@sarinalandcare.org.au ( mailto:admin@sarinalandcare.org.au )\n• What we need to know: days attending, # people, # vehicles with or without 4WD access, dietary requirements.\nCamping?\nFor the full experience, and for those keen to help across both days there is camping available.
