SUMMARY:Shelly Beach Clean-up, Warrnambool, VIC
DESCRIPTION:When: Tuesday 21st of February, 2pm\nWhere:Meet at Thunder Point carpark, gathering around the rock walls near the track entrance\nRegister:Please contact georgia@tangaroablue.org\nAre you looking for a way to be part of practical solutions for our environment? Join us and help clean-up the beautiful Shelly Beach in Warrnambool, Victoria.\nThe major debris items of concern continue to be cotton bud sticks, white nurdles (plastic resin pellets) and hard plastic remnants of all sizes, so we will spend around 2 hours trying to remove these items from this beach.\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all Tangaroa Blue events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle.\nTo register or for any questions, please email georgia@tangaroablue.org. Thank you for dedicating your energy towards protecting our oceans, and we look forward to seeing you out on the beach!\n———————————————\nPlease note this is a COVID Safe Event – we do require volunteers to register by emailing info@tangaroablue.org. Please ensure that you check the latest QLD Government COVID requirements – https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19. If you feel unwell, please don’t attend and stay at home, we’ll catch you at a future event.\n
