DESCRIPTION:What: Bustard Bay Community Beach Clean-Up\nWhen: Monday 11th April 8:00AM – midday\nWhere: LARC Tours, 1770 Marina, 535 Captain Cook Drive, Town of 1770\nTo Register: Please email ian@tangaroablue.org to register your interest\nWe will travel across Eurimbula Creek to Bustard Bay Beach where we will proceed to collect marine debris which will then be sorted, counted and entered into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative Database\nThe clean-up data you collect will help us track litter to its source and prevent it from entering the waste stream and harming our Great Barrier Reef.\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.\nWe would like to acknowledge the Port Curtis Coral Coast people, the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Tarabilang Bunda as Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet and would also like to pay our respects to the elders past, present, and emerging.\n———————————————–Please note this is a COVID Safe Event – we do require volunteers to register.
