DESCRIPTION:What: Goolboddi (Orpheus) Island Multi-day Clean-up\nWhere: Meet at Taylors Beach for transfer to the island\nWhen: 11th-14th April 2022\nTo Register: kara-mae@tangaroablue.org\nThe ReefClean team from Tangaroa Blue will once again be heading to Goolboddi (Orpheus) Island for our twice-yearly clean-up.\nWe will clean-up several beaches over four days by removing, sorting and recording rubbish items from this island and entering it into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database.\nWe will meet at Taylor’s Beach in the morning on Monday the 11th of April for transfer to the island and return on Thursday the 14th.\nSpaces are limited so please contact kara-mae@tangaroablue.org to find out more information, including transfer (departure/return) times and what you will need to bring etc.\nWe would like to acknowledge the Manbarra Aboriginal people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we will be meeting for this event.\nThis event is supported by the JCU Orpheus Island Research Station, Absolute North Charters, Hinchinbrook Shire Council and MAMS.\nReefClean is funded by the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and delivered by the Tangaroa Blue Foundation.\n——————————\nWe will be adhering to the latest advice from the QLD Government on COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines.\nIf you feel unwell – please don’t attend and stay at home – we’ll catch you on another event later in the year ?
