DESCRIPTION:What: Lilley’s Beach Community Clean-Up – Boyne Island, QLD\nWhere: Whyndham Park, Boyne Island\nWhen: Sunday 6th March 2022 | 7:30 am – 12pm\nTo Register: Please email ian@tangaroablue.org\nJoin us at 10am for registration and briefing before heading onto Lilley’s to clean up marine debris which will then be sorted and counted for entry into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative Database\nThe clean-up data you collect will help us track litter to its source and prevent it from entering the waste stream and harming our Great Barrier Reef.\nThose with a 4WD will be able to access the Northern end of the beach whereas those on foot will focus on the Southern section from Wyndham Park.\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water\ntop-ups will be provided.\nWe would like to acknowledge the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we will be meeting for this event.\n———————————————–Please note this is a COVID Safe Event – we do require volunteers to register.
