DESCRIPTION:What: Woody Island (Low Isles) Clean-up\nWhere: Departing Port Douglas Marina, clean-up on Woody Island (Low Isles)\nWhen: Fri 14th May | Departing from the Port Douglas Marina at 9:30am. Returning around 4pm\nTo Register: Please email johanna@tangaroablue.org\nJoin a small team for a clean-up on the beautiful Woody Island, as part of the ReefClean project! As part of this event you’ll be helping clean our beautiful beaches whilst also gathering important information for the Australian Marine Debris Initiative.\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.\nA simple lunch will be provided so please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements when you register for this event.\nThere will be a fair bit of jumping on and off boats so you will need reasonably good fitness and agility for this one.\nRegister your interest early by emailing johanna@tangaroablue.org as places are extremely limited.\nWe would like to acknowledge the Eastern Kuku Yalanji people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we will be meeting for this event.\nReefClean is funded by the Australian Government’s Reef Trust.
