SUMMARY:Lilley’s Beach Community Clean-Up – Boyne Island, QLD

During this event you’ll be helping clean our beautiful Lilley’s beach of marine debris whilst also gathering important information for the Australian Marine Debris Initiative.\nIn recognition of your efforts, our Boyne Island Lions Club will be providing a free BBQ Brekkie afterwards for volunteers\nWe will also be screen printing “ReefClean Crew” t-shirts at the event so if you would like one bring along your favourite t-shirt.\nPlease be sure to bring a hat, sun-safe clothing, closed-in shoes and water bottle (top ups will be provided).\nWe will have limited transport available for transporting volunteers up the beach so a 4WD vehicle would be an advantage. Permits can be arranged, just provide registration details.\nWe would like to acknowledge the Port Curtis Coral Coast people, (the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Tarabilang Bunda groups) as Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet, and would also like to pay our respects to the Elders both past, present and emerging.\n———————————————–\nPlease note this is a COVID Safe Event – we do require volunteers to register. Please ensure that you check the latest QLD Government COVID requirements and if you feel unwell, please don’t attend and stay at home, we’ll catch you at a future event.\nReefClean is funded by the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and delivered by Tangaroa Blue Foundation\n
