DESCRIPTION:What: Four Mile Beach monthly clean-up\nWhen: 19th September 12:30-4:30pm\nTo register: email johanna@tangaroablue.org\nLooking for a way to be part of practical solutions for our environment? Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas is one of our longest-running QLD beach clean-up sites. We have been cleaning and collecting data from this site each month for the past 11 years.\nMeet our Tangaroa Blue coordinators and volunteers at Bruno Reidweg Memorial Park at the end of Solandar Blvd, Port Douglas at 12:30 pm.\nVolunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended). We try to ensure that all Tangaroa Blue events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle.\nAll equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.\nThank you for dedicating your energy to protecting our oceans, and we look forward to seeing you out on the beach!\nTangaroa Blue would like to thank the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife for supporting these monthly beach clean-ups.\n——————————————–\nPlease note this is a COVID Safe Event with limited places – we do require volunteers to register by emailing johanna@tangaroablue.org.\nAll our events comply with COVID 19 restrictions current at the time of the event, so participation will depend on the travel restrictions in place at the time. Tangaroa Blue will be adhering to the latest advice from the QLD Government on COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines.\nPlease ensure that you check the latest QLD Government COVID requirements for gatherings and if you feel unwell – please don’t attend and stay at home – we’ll catch you on another event later in the year ????\n
