DESCRIPTION:Celebrate ReefBlitz by heading down to Cape Pallarenda to help clear Shelly Cove shorelines of marine debris and litter to protect the inshore Cleveland Bay marine life. Shelly is a beautiful site to visit, slightly secluded from the rest of Townsville’s coastline, it traps marine debris washing in and attracts littering from beach visitors. Shelly Cove resides within the Town Common Conservation Park and features the historic Quarantine Station that was established in 1915 to quarantine passengers on incoming ships; It is managed by National Parks, and cared for by Conservation Volunteers Australia.\nAs a participant please bring:\n– reusable water bottle\n– wear sturdy enclosed footwear\n– hat & sunnies, sunscreen & sun smart clothing\nTo register please email vanessa@tangaroablue.org This email address is being protected from spambots.
