HNCMA Foreshore Clean-up Program - Berowra Waters

20121108 BerowraThe mission for the day was to survey and monitor the waterway north, from the Berowra Ferry and to determine the logistics of a school group assisting in the clean-up in this section of river in the future.

Small litter was plentiful, but most unseen from the boat so rock-hopping the shore was the best option. Plenty of old "longnecks' embedded into the mud, mostly very old.

3.5 kilometres covered on the eastern foreshore from the Ferry to "Joe Crafts Bay" and 9 bags of debris recovered, some very heavy with mud filled longnecks, other light with pillow casings and foam signs. All litter disposed in the Councils bins adjacent to the boat ramp (two bins filled!)
